Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

What are the steps for taking Assessment Testing?
- Apply to De Anza by completing an online Admissions Application.
- Know your De Anza 8 digit Student ID number. This number is assigned when you complete your application.
- Select the tests you need to take (English, ESL, Math, Chemistry, Biology).
- Read the sample questions for each test subject to determine which tests to take and what skills to review.
- Testing is administered on drop-in basis. There are no appointments.
- For Computerized English, ESL, Math, and Biology 40A tests, drop-in to SCS 143 anytime during the posted testing hours.
- For Calculus, Chemistry 1A/ Biology 6A paper & pencil tests, report minimum 30 minutes prior to the published test time to posted location.
- Bring a photo I.D. (student ID card, driver's license, passport...)
- Bring several #2 pencils.
- Students who feel that they have either a learning disability or physical disability which might adversely affect their test results should contact the Assessment Center for alternative testing options.
- There are no fees for placement testing.
- Plan to take the test a minimum 3 weeks before your registration date.
